Working With Children in Sri Lanka

Coronavirus (COVID-19) impact on World Vision operations

In support of public health recommendations outlined by the World Health Organization, some sponsorship program activities have been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19. Activities may include sponsor queries and correspondence, sponsor visits, gift notifications and gift deliveries. These temporary suspensions may affect the information you receive from us in the coming weeks and months.

World Vision has been serving the people of Sri Lanka for more than 40 years with development and relief programs across the Island. We are active in over 2,500 villages, impacting the lives of more than 270,000 children in Sri Lanka.

All of our work points towards one goal: the sustained well-being of children, especially the most vulnerable. We work with families, communities and partners to help meet the needs of children through sustainable development. Our approach is participatory and community-driven, empowering communities to take ownership of their development journey.
